Chronic pain
Desk necks, hips that lock, pain that has outlasted every other appointment.
Therapeutic massage · South Denver
Lisa Johnson is a licensed massage therapist treating chronic pain, sports and auto injuries, post-surgical recovery and pregnancy discomfort — alongside the relaxation work that keeps people coming back for years.
Start with what hurts:
01 — Conditions
Most sessions blend techniques. Tell Lisa what's going on and she builds the hour around it.
Desk necks, hips that lock, pain that has outlasted every other appointment.
Whiplash, guarded shoulders, the neck that never quite came back.
Scar tissue, restricted range of motion, lymphatic drainage for swelling.
Side-lying and fully bolstered, for low back, hips and swelling.
Pre-event, post-race, or on a maintenance schedule through a season.
Swedish and Reiki work for a nervous system that will not stand down.
02 — Your first visit
Lisa answers her own phone. Say what's going on and roughly how long you'd like.
Five minutes on history, medications, surgeries and what you want out of the session.
You undress to your comfort and stay draped throughout. Pressure is checked as she goes.
“Swedish massage with enough pressure to make a difference, but not so deep that I can't relax.”
Nicole A.
Water, a stretch or two to take home, and a rebooking only if you want one.

04 — About
Over twenty years Lisa has worked with people in chronic pain, athletes, expectant mothers, accident survivors, and people who simply needed an hour to themselves. Every session is built around what she finds that day, not chosen off a menu.
“I believe in the healing qualities of massage therapy. People come back for pain relief — and I want everyone to feel lighter walking out the door.”
— Lisa Johnson, LMT
“It took me about a year to find someone else, because it's not easy to find someone you're comfortable with and that consistently provides beneficial massage. Lisa checks both those boxes and then some. She always asks me how my body feels before we begin and will work on specific areas that need extra attention.”
Nicole A. · client for almost two years
“Clean, professional studio. Focused on my trouble areas and even found some I didn't know I had.”
Jed S.
“Lymphatic massage expert — I receive the high quality results I hope for each weekly visit. Worth every penny.”
Ashley P.
“I went in for a lymphatic drainage massage to help with my immunity and could feel the difference afterwards.”
Shaylin L.
“She helped me with full body relaxation as well as with neck pain. I highly recommend her.”
Anna N.
“Lisa is absolutely the best massage therapist I've had. I won't see anyone else.”
